Sellwood Medical Clinic's Prescription Policy
We strongly encourage patients to refill medications at the time of their appointment. Please bring your medications to each appointment to make sure that we can do this for you.
Refill requests received after 2:00 pm on Thursdays, after business hours, or on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next clinic business day.
If you have a current prescription and no changes have been made to your medication dosage, please contact your regular pharmacy directly to place a refill request. We will be notified of your request by the pharmacy.
Some conditions may require an office visit with your provider before your prescription refill can be approved. Please understand that this requirement helps us to provide optimum care and management of your condition, as well as to monitor the ongoing effectiveness of your medication.
Your provider must review and approve all refill requests. To ensure he or she is available, please make your request 48-72 hours in advance.
If you are using a new pharmacy, have any changes to your prescription, or are taking a medication that requires a written prescription, please create a patient case in your patient portal to reach your Providers' care team. Again, please allow 48-72 hours for this transaction to be completed.
