About Kim Vigil, MD, FAAP
Dr. Kim Vigil brings over 25 years of experience in outpatient pediatrics and a deep commitment to building long-term relationships with her patients and their families. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is watching children grow into confident, capable adults— and even return with families of their own.
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Vigil earned her B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and completed her medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She began her career in psychiatry before discovering her true passion in pediatrics.
Dr. Vigil has a strong background in managing mental health concerns. She emphasizes the importance of healthy lifestyle habits including regular exercise, balanced nutrition, mindfulness, quality sleep, and limited screen time as key building blocks for emotional and physical well-being.
Since relocating to Portland in 1999, Dr. Vigil has embraced the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her three dogs, biking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
